  Business Development Manager – Medical Imaging OEM
Location: Los Angeles, California

This company has a software application and development tool company that focuses on custom engineering applications for the medical imaging industry is looking for a Business Development Manager for their Imaging to generate new business by scanning the global imaging marketplace and developing a solid strategy to attack new accounts, new markets, and to assist in the evolution of product development. The successful candidate will provide leadership in the identification, prioritization, evaluation, negotiation and relationship management of complex, strategic relationships at the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) level with large national and international medical imaging companies.

·         Generate new business by scanning the global imaging marketplace and developing a solid strategy to attack new accounts, new markets, and to assist in the evolution of product development

·         Extensive travel, up to 50%, nationally and internationally to new and existing accounts

·         Develop a thorough understanding of client products and long-term business strategies, then sell the capabilities and values of the company and associated technology.

·         Negotiate and close complex deals that benefit the company, including multi-year OEM and reseller agreements with major Radiology Companies.

·         Ability to work with engineering with the goal of locking in custom engineering contract developments with existing and prospective OEM partners.

·         Provide weekly activity/call reports, trip/travel reports, and weekly/monthly sales reports and forecasts/activity.

·         Meet all sales and business development goals, including profitability as measured by gross margins.

·         Work with Finance, Customer Care, Operations, Product Engineering, Marketing, Sales and other internal departments to understand their strategic priorities and creatively identify partnership opportunities to support those priorities.

·         Establish metrics to analyze and track performance of partner initiatives.


REQUIREMENTS

·         BS degree or equivalent experience

·         3 years of strategic alliance or business development experience preferred in the Medical Imaging Industry

·         Prior experience in Medical B2B sales/business development

·         OEM sales experience

·         Channel Partner, Technology Partner, VAR, Reseller experience.

·         End-user selling to hospitals or imaging facilities is helpful, as is business development experience selling integrated products and technology solution to companies such as Hitachi, Cerner, Siemens, GE, Varian, AGFA, RIS/PACS/teleradiology vendors, and other healthcare companies.

·         Understanding of the imaging protocols, software, PACS, DICOM, image manipulation and storage, data transfer, imaging modalities and dynamic and complex relationships

·         Familiarity with the Imaging / Radiology Software technology marketplace is critical

·         Proven ability to negotiate and close complex technology deals; radiology experience preferred

·         Ability to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial organization, in both a team and independent environment

·         Willingness to challenge the status quo to drive significant increases in high-margin, recurring revenue

·         Experience with creating and leveraging new markets and new channels is a plus
