Expanding Laboratory seeks 2 full time Medical Technologists.  This is a fast paced position with an opportunity to grow and move upward in company.   Sections of focus will include Clinical Chemistry, Histology and Urinalysis.

• Performs complex laboratory tests in the molecular pathology department to provide physicians with rapid and accurate bladder (FISH) fluorescence in situ hybridization test results. 

• Preparation of specimens for processing in the laboratory;

• Performance of waived, moderate, and highly complex analytical process;

• Establishing performing and documenting quality assurance, quality control and equipment maintenance;

• Recognizing problems and identifying causes; developing alternatives and determining solutions;

• Confirming and verifying results through an in-depth knowledge of techniques, principles, and instruments;

• Correlating and interpreting data based on knowledge of factors affecting test results; data handling and input.

MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, medical technology or related laboratory sciences field
• 3 years experience in a clinical laboratory setting and/or equivalent education and experience
• Preferred candidates should be team oriented, motivated and be willing to learn and have strong basic laboratory skills.
• Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills.
• Strong FISH, especially UroVysion bladder cancer testing and molecular background
• Valid Florida State License Certification
• Must hold current licensure/certification from at least one of the following agencies:
• MT(ASCP)
• MT(AMT)
• MT(AAB)
• CLT(HHS)
• CLS(NCA)
