Allscripts Electronic Health Records Named Number 1 in KLAS

Wednesday, June 20, 2007

Allscripts recently announced that the company’s HealthMatics and TouchWorks Electronic Health Record (EHR) solutions were both ranked No. 1 in their respective market categories by KLAS Enterprises, LLC, in the research group’s Top 20: Mid-Year 2007 Report.  HealthMatics was ranked first among EHR vendors providing applications for practices with between 6 and 25 physicians. TouchWorks placed first among vendors providing applications for practices with between 26 and 100 physicians.

KLAS rankings are generated by in-depth interviews with thousands of actual end-users of the products reviewed.  Both of the Allscripts solutions earned their highest marks from customers for their ability to deliver full implementation within the agreed-upon budget.  Additionally, both EHRs were rated highest among all EHRs in their market categories by that KLAS Vendor Relationship Evaluation.  The evaluation, which is included in the mid-year report, covers everything from implementation, training, service and quality to whether the product and vendor lived up to expectations.

“The KLAS rankings are the ‘Consumer Reports’ of healthcare information technology and our top placement in this prestigious report underscores the leadership position that Allscripts has gained in the marketplace with both HealthMatics and TouchWorks,” said Allscripts’ CEO Glen Tullman.  “We are particularly proud of our top ranking in KLAS because it is ultimately based on one thing -- our ability to deliver for our clients. The best indicator of how we are performing relative to others is that we were the only vendor in our size categories with 100 percent of clients stating they would buy Allscripts again and recommend us to a peer.”
